Exoracing V-Band Clamp Installation Guide:

Although we would always recommend using a professional for welding, if you are a competent welder, these are the steps you would need to follow to install a V-Band clamp:

1. First, you will want to ensure you have purchased the correct ID of the clamp by offering up a flange against the pipe you wish to weld it to. Once you are happy that they are the same inside diameter and offer the highest exhaust flow, you can move on to step 2.
2. Ensure both the pipes you are welding to are stainless steel and are clean, and free from rust or other contaminants.
3. Weld the male flange to one pipe and the female flange to another.
4. Remove the locking nut from the V-band clamp and place it over both flanges, ensuring they align correctly. There are lips on both flanges, so you will feel as soon as they lock together.
5. Close the clamp and tighten the locking nut, ensuring it is in the correct orientation so it does not rub against any other components.
